Description

See the Pussycats before they became the Pussycats.

Josie and the Pussycats: A Rockin'(Musical) Beginning is a anime-influenced movie based on the Archie Comics series of the same name. The movie tells the origin of three adolescent musicians, who form a rock and roll band to become world-famous rock superstars. There's only one person who would stop at nothing to stop them from achieving their goal, and her name is Alexandra Cabot.

Starring
Josie McCoy
Lead vocalist and guitarist.
A short-haired redhead, sweet, level-headed, tomboyish and a born leader, Josie is not afraid to speak her mind. She stands for her friends and would do anything to help others.

Melody Jones
The drummer.
Melody is a cute, attractive, and yet absent-minded and childlike blonde. She is often oblivious to most everything around her, maintaining a positive attitude when things go wrong. She also plays the tambourine.

Valerie Smith
The keyboardist.
The most intelligent and streetwise of the group. Valerie is sassy, outspoken, hip and quick with her hands. She is also kind, hardworking and even-tempered.

Co-starring

Alan "M" Mayberry (Al M)
A handsome young guitarist.
He is tall, blond, slim, a bit clumsy and loves baseball. Alan has a love-interest in Josie from her first day in high school, but is often intruded by the jealous Alexandra, who constantly tries to win a date with him.

Alexander Cabot III (Al C)
The Pussycats' rich, cowardly, not-too-dependable manager.
Alexander is not the bravest and most reliable of the pussycats’ circle of friends, as he is a target for bullying, criticism and threats. He also comes up with wild, hare brained, get-rich-quick schemes, which get the group into lots of trouble.

Alexandra "Alex" Cabot
Spoiled, self-centered, talentless, rich girl and Alexander’s twin sister.
Alexandra is cynical, mean, offensive, rude, sarcastic and self-centered. She was the mean girl in school until Josie, Melody and Valerie moved in, and she became insanely jealous of them, especially Josie, about whom she never has a kind word, mainly on the count of gaining the attention of Alan M.

Sabastian
Alexandra's chuckling, sneaky Tuxedo Cat.
He acts as a sidekick to Alex, taking part in her usual attempts to break up Alan and Josie and sabotaging the Pussycats’ shows, all of which failed due to his own bumbling. However, he is loyal to the rest of the group.

The movie would be distributed by Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon movies. Shown on Nickelodeon Television and streaming on Paramount+, along with a television show.
